About our Owner
The founder and CEO of Platinum Freight Management Pty Ltd, since 2000, Peter McRae has built his freight management and customs brokering business from the ground up to become one of the largest customs clearance agencies in Australia today.
A certified customs broker in both Australia and New Zealand, McRae has earned the title of Certified Customs Specialist in both Canada and the USA. In addition, he has earned his certification as a trade compliance specialist in Canada. In November 2015, the Shipping and Maritime Industry Awards named McRae one of Australia’s top customs brokers. He holds a master’s degree in international customs law and administration and a master’s degree in international revenue administration from the University of Canberra. A businessman who focuses on family and community, as well as his business, his company’s social responsibility program helps both individuals and families through several effective community support and charity programs.
A father of one, McRae enjoys playing sport with his son, reading biographies, and travelling.
